Speech Sort Ltd is an Independent Speech & Language Therapy Practice set up in 2001.  It was set up by Speech & Language Therapist Rebecca Matthews.

Speech Sort solely provides Speech & Language Therapy for children aged between 3 and 18 years. Rebecca's caseload is small and she works 1.5 days with a regular caseload in order that she can support her elderly parents.  Therapy is provided face-to-face or via the desktop videoconferencing system Skype in combination with some face-to-face sessions.

Rebecca now uses most of her clinical time to assess and write expert witness reports for families seeking to improve and clarify their child's Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) and when necessary attends tribunal hearings also.

Rebecca provides supervision to other therapists and also is involved in running a play course for professionals and those working with children.  Following on from her doctoral research into the acceptability of using Skype to provide an SLT service, she also trains therapists to use Skype to provide their service.

Rebecca is a member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT) and also the Association of Speech & Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) and is registered with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).  In addition she is a registered BUPA Healthcare Provider (30018210).
