Supervision

Supervision is a vital part of any professional Speech & Language Therapist's CPD activity and a requirement of the HCPC, RCSLT and ASLTIP.

Rebecca provides supervision for other independent Speech & Language Therapists and also therapists based in charitable organisations including newly qualified therapists (NQP).

In her thirty year career, Rebecca has attended a wide range of supervision training - the most recent has been the two day training course in 2013 provided by in Tandem Training at University College London.

There is no set formula for the supervision services offered by Rebecca.

Supervision is arranged at a frequency that suits you and your needs at that particular time and can if it suits be provided through Skype but most often is provided at Rebecca's home.

Training for SLTs

Rebecca has teamed up with SLT Sally Newman who runs Therapy Skils Training Alliance (TSTA), to provide a one day training course on how to use play to provide SLT.

This approach is based on the research of Dr Roy McConkey based in Ireland.  The course takes 20 delegates and is essentially practical with some theory but lots of practical exercises.

The first time for this training day in August 2013 was successful and it is hoped to provide the course again in 2014 incorporating some of the feedback from the first delegates.
